Air Quality Monitoring
Bradfield Environmental Services, Inc. can sample for a variety of organic compounds, mold, bacteria, and pathogenic organisms to quickly and economically evaluate indoor air quality, vent and stack gases, process emissions, and odor or employee complaints. Results are documented in a detailed report that will solve your air quality problems.

We also provide consulting services to evaluate and improve indoor air quality (IAQ). Arthur Bradfield is a Certified Indoor Environmentalist by the Indoor Air Quality Association. Services include on-site consultation, comprehensive sampling services, evaluations of HVAC Performance, and long-term continuous monitoring of indoor air quality parameters (temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and odors/gases (VOC's)) using the PureTrac SystemTM by PureChoice, Inc.

Air samples can be analyzed for more than 250 organic compounds to quickly and economically evaluate vent and stack gases, indoor air quality, process emissions, and to investigate odor or employee complaints. Sampling services for the detection of molds are available using high sensitivity detection of microbial metabolites known as microbial volatile organic compounds.
Energy Assessments
Energy costs for electric motors that drive large pumps account for much of the annual cost of operation of municipal and industrial pumping facilities. For example, a 250 hp pump and motor has an initial cost of around $30,000, but the cost to power that pump the first year will exceed $80,000 (at 6 cents/kwhr). Because many facilities have undergone changes in function over time from what they were designed to do, it pays to examine the current system requirements to make sure existing equipment is suitable for the task and in good repair. Costs for energy assessments by Bradfield Environmental Services, Inc. are quickly recovered from reduced energy costs.
Ground Water Investigations
Bradfield Environmental Services, Inc. has located and developed wells capable of producing one to three million gallons of water per day for the cities of Erwin, Elizabethton, Decatur, Athens, and Loudon, Tennessee. Your water system or business will realize significant savings that quickly offset the cost of developing your ground-water resources.
Ground Water Monitoring
Bradfield Environmental Services, Inc. provides consulting services to meet regulatory requirements for ground water monitoring at Solid Waste and Industrial Facilities. Arthur Bradfield, a Certified Ground Water Professional by the National Ground Water Association, personally collects all samples, reviews laboratory data, and writes all reports for each project.
Infrared Thermography
Bradfield Environmental Services, Inc. provides thermal surveys using state-of-the-art infrared cameras. Infrared Thermography is used to diagnose the condition of building components such as roofs, walls, insulation, and energy losses through air leakage. Moisture damage can be located by non-destructive thermal inspections before building materials become severely degraded.

Thermal imaging is also a useful tool for electrical inspections to locate points of high resistance or overloads before equipment failure. Infrared thermography is invaluable in mechanical inspections for excessive friction or overheating of electrical motors or hydraulic systems.

Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) or "block walls" can be quickly inspected for proper placement of grout and rebar, allowing for quality control monitoring during the early phases of construction.
Phase I and II Assessments
Bradfield Environmental Services, Inc. provides Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments for commercial real estate transactions. Because of the tremendous expense that can occur with the clean up of environmental contamination, make sure your Phase I Assessment eliminates your risk to CERCLA liability.
